Note: The Passenger Terminal is NOT rented when there is a cruise ship at that terminal. 1) PROPERTY DESCRIPTIONS AND USAGE No. 6 Passenger Terminal - Capacity 350 persons inside No. 6 Passenger Veranda – Capacity 350 persons outside Available for the following types of events:
  • Auctions
  • Trade Shows
  • Cocktail Receptions
  • Event Headquarters
  • Tourism or Community related events
  • Parties
All activities must cease at 3:00 a.m. with clean up and dismantle immediately after. NOTE: The break down fee of $200.00 per hour will continue to be charged until the Terminal / Premises is clear of all equipment or other items delivered for the event. 2) RENTAL Rates/PAYMENT
  1. Non-refundable deposit paid in advance.
  2. Balance will be billed by the Corporation after the event/function – 30 days due/payable.
  3. Additional costs including Clean-up Costs – if applicable – will be billed after the event.
Deposit No.6 (inside) Non-refundable $1000 per function day, payable in advanced No.6 (Veranda) Available only with No.6 rental. Non-refundable $500 per function day, payable in advance
Setup and Break Down fee $200 per hour Hourly rate is any part of an hour Inclusive, Available only with No.6 rental.
Half day Rental $750 8 am–1230 pm or 1230 pm–5 pm $250 Available only with No.6 rental. 8 am–1230 pm or 1230 pm–5 pm
Full day rental $1500 8 am – 5 pm $500 Available only with No.6 rental. 8 am – 5 pm
Evening Rental $350 per hour 5 pm – 3 am $500 per function night. Available only with No.6 rental. 5 pm – 3 am
Custodian Fee $60 per hour for any events held outside of regular working hours (8 am – 5 pm, Monday – Friday)
3) HOURS OF AVAILABILITY 8 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. All activities must cease at 3:00 a.m. with clean up and dismantle immediately after. 4) PROCEDURES
  1. Upon application, the Port Operations Office will ascertain the the availability of the premises in question.
  2. Provided the requested premises is available, the user must submit:
    • completed Terminal Rental Information Form
    • signed Terminal Rental Agreement
    • the non-refundable deposit
    Applications are subject to Police approval. There are NO provisional bookings.
  3. Once submitted, your signed copy of the rental agreement is your binding contract.
  4. Each application for use is considered on its own merits. Additional terms and conditions may be applied, depending on the nature of the function.
5) OTHER INFORMATION
  1. Vetting by Police. Each application is subject to the approval of the Corporation after vetting by the Bermuda Police Service
  2. Smoking. Smoking is not permitted in ANY Corporation of Hamilton rental premise.
  3. Maximum Number of Attendees. 350 people inside plus 350 outside on veranda – maximum 700 people.
  4. Noise. The lessee must ensure that noise levels do not exceed the legal limit.
  5. Food Service. If food is to be prepared and/or served on site, a Department of Health Certificate must be obtained and a copy submitted prior to the event. No. 6 Passenger Terminal, kitchen may be used to prepare LIGHT refreshments only.
  6. Alcohol. The sale of alcohol is permitted for registered charitable organisations only. A letter from the charitable organzation, on their letter head, signed by a representative from that organization and the person holding the function must be sent to the Port Operations Manager’s office. A copy of the occasional liquor licence from Magistrates Court must accompany this letter at least 2 weeks prior to the event, or as soon as possible.
  7. Toilets. Limited number available. It is suggested that if necessary,
  8. Gaming. Any form of gaming, real or otherwise is strictly prohibited on Corporation of Hamilton properties.
6) RESPONSIBILITIES OF LESSEE
  1. Damages. The lessee will be responsible for any personal or property damage and/or loss resulting from their event.
  2. Alterations. At no time will the lessee make any electrical, cabling or structural alterations to any Corporation of Hamilton property without the expressed written permission of the Corporation of Hamilton.
  3. Clean-up. Lessee responsible for thoroughly cleaning the leased space at the conclusion of the event. All equipment, trash and garbage must be removed. Any additional clean-up costs will be billed to the lessee.
7) POSTPONEMENTS/CANCELLATIONS
  1. If a function is cancelled outright, the deposit is forfeit.
  2. If a function is postponed to a date no more than two weeks away, consideration will be given to applying the deposit towards the alternative date, providing there is a date available. Each situation of this nature will be reviewed on its own merits; refund of the deposit is never guaranteed.
8) INCLEMENT WEATHER OPTION In order to reserve these properties for use in case of inclement weather, a non-refundable deposit of $500 is required, along with the applicable application forms. If the space is actually used, the deposit will be applied toward the overall rental cost. The space can only be reserved if it is not previously booked for other purposes.
