Queen Elizabeth Park Commemoration
The City of Hamilton held a ceremony in what was formerly Par-la-Ville Park to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The newly named Queen Elizabeth Park played host to His Excellency Sir Richard Gozney, Mayor of Hamilton Charles Gosling, the Hon. Michael Weeks, Minister of Public Works and a parade of bands and on-lookers both local and foreign as Queen Elizabeth Park was unveiled. The weather could not have been scripted better and the park gleamed with every colour imaginable. If you haven't taken a stroll there lately, what are you waiting for; Queen Elizabeth Park awaits you!
